Nano Brows is a permanent makeup technique that is done by using a digital pen (similar to a tattoo machine) to implant pigment into the skin to create the look of brow hairs.
Your artist will be using a very thin single point needle that is operated by a digital machine, the needle moves in and out of the cartridge piercing the skin and implanting the pigment to the epidermis by creating hair like strokes.
Although Nano Brows are done with a device similar to a tattoo machine, we still only work on the first and sometimes second layer of the skin. This ensures that your results will be natural and that your pigment will stay more true to color.
The Nano Brow technique can be done on all skin types. Clients who have more oily skin may notice that their pigment may fade quicker than clients who have normal to dry skin. However the Nano technique is the best hair stroke technique on the market for oily skin, as machine strokes tend to migrate less under the skin creating more crisp strokes.
In most cases, yes, the Nano technique can be done over your existing Microblading. Clients could even switch to the Nano technique at their annual touch-ups. However, to get the full effect of Nano Brows your artist may require a consultation first to analyze your current brow work and strokes.
Nano Brows can be done over existing powder brows if the brows have faded enough for the new hair strokes to be visible. You can also use both techniques together to create more density.
Pain level varies for each client, your brow artist will pre-numb the skin prior to your procedure. Since we are still working only on the first or second layer of the skin, it is not as painful as getting a tattoo.
Your first session can take anywhere from 3-4 hours. Your brow artist will start with discussing your brow needs then go into your pre-draw, once you approve your brow design your artist will start the procedure.
Clients will return in 8-12 weeks for their touch-up, your touch-up session will last about 1-2 hours.
Includes consultation & pre-draw
