Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
Classic full set is where your technician places one synthetic lash onto one of your natural lashes. Our technician makes sure that they are placing the correct length + diameter that is safe for your natural lashes. This technique is a perfect choice for everyday wear, the full set brightens and defines the eyes without looking too obvious or ‘done’. The full set is our most popular lash set for beginners, and can always be upgraded to a larger set during an infill appointment.
Hybrid lashes is where your technician would be placing a mix of classic lashes (one extension on one natural lash) and a mix of volume lashes (a fan of 2-6 lashes on one natural lash) onto your natural lashes. Perfect for clients who want a natural fluff to their lashes.
Volume lashes is where your technician will create hand made fans of 2-6 thinner synthetic lashes. This technique creates a dense, dark lash line with thick fluff. The volume fans allow more eyelash extensions to be applied without strain to the natural lashes.Perfect for those clients who want to rock truly dramatic, show-stopping lashes.
When applied by one of our Amazing professionals, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 90-120 minutes for a full set of lashes and 45-60 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed while relaxing ambient music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
Your technician will consult with you to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very voluminous!
We do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.
Following these important after-care instructions will aid in extending the life of your lash extensions. The first 48 hours following your application are most crucial. Care must be taken not to rub your eyes, pull your lashes, or scratch. Also, any cleansers and cosmetics containing glycols and carbonate can loosen the bond of the lash extensions. In the shower, you should avoid direct water spray on your extensions, do not use a steam bath, swim, or wash your face directly with hot water during your initial 48 hours post application.
-Do not use an eyelash curler. This may cause the extension and your natural lash to fall out prematurely. Besides that, you are going to have fabulous lashes and won't need to curl them.
-Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face, gently clean around the eye region with a wash cloth or fingers.
-Do not pull on your lash extensions, it may cause your natural lash to fall out.
Use powdered, liquid or gel eyeliners. Pencils (unless specially formulated for Eyelash Extensions) tend to leave an oily residue which could loosen the bond.
It is recommended to apply Protective Coating once or twice per week on your new lashes to preserve the look and to extend the life of your eyelash extensions. Brush on from the base up to the tips. This coating also give the lashes a wonderful shine!
Can I swim, shower, exercise or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?
You can enjoy these eyelashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Provided you follow the simple after care instructions and are not excessively exposed to heat or moisture, they will last through your natural lash cycle and fall off with the natural lash, not before. You can swim, shower and spa as usually so long as these activities are not engaged in excessively. (Please do not swim or spa for 48-hours after the procedure to allow the adhesive to fully bond.)
Can I apply mascara to eyelash extensions?
Indeed, one of the main advantages of eyelash extensions is that you never need mascara again. However, if you need mascara on your lower lashes you should try to use water-based mascaras only. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil-based mascara will dissolve the bond and cause the eyelash extensions to fall off. If you choose to wear mascara on your lower lashes, make sure you are thoroughly cleaning off your eye makeup daily.
